These plans are legit!
Havent had to use this plan yet, thank goodness but Ive had to use another Square Trade plan in the past and it was a breeze! Bought my stepdad a tablet for Xmas along with a 2 year Square Trade on it. A week before the square trade would have expired, he dropped and broke his tablet. A day before the square trade expired, my step dad TOLD me he broke his tablet. So I called Square Trade expecting some kind of delay tactic run around but NOPE! In fact they were almost insistant on making sure the plan was honered and we got reimbursed. Was one of the most pleasant experiences Ive ever had with any warrenty deal EVER! The reimbursement check took awhile to get to us but they warned us it would and it DID eventually come! I put protection plans on everything that I can now. The extra peace of mind is well worth a couple of bucks.

Bought this warranty when purchasing a Lorex LW2003 baby video monitor. I knew that we would be using the video monitor every day a couple of times, and there would be a good chance something would go wrong in 3 years. Well, after about 1 1/2 years, the monitor stopped working. I was afraid that even if I filed the claim or warranty, the company might make excuses about the worn out look of the monitor/receiver, or something else to do with normal wear and tear, or accidental damage (which we did not have coverage for). anyway, filing the claim was very easy online, and I got the shipping label the next day. I packaged up the box and dropped it at UPS. The next day, I get an email that my claim has been processed with a full refund; and they sent me an Amazon gift code since I opted for that. Mind you, the package had not even reached them at this point, so they did not even check the product in my case. Since this was $100 product, I'm guessing there was lesser scrutiny. Regardless, the experience was great and they now have my loyalty to buy warranty in the future from them!

Only pays PURCHASE price, not replacement price. I got a deal and bought my speaker for $80, but now I have to pay $120 to replace it.
