Great in concept but until they update the software to ...
Absolutely do not buy this product. Great in concept but until they update the software to hold the wifi settings in the event of an intermittent power supply or intermittent wifi signal, the product is worthless. Every couple of days the product goes offline, the lights kick on/stay on and you have no control of the device unless you climb a ladder and manually reset the entire device. Ring has not been helpful at all in addressing this issue. The Ring Doorbell Pro does not have this issue so it is shocking they released the floodlight cam with this glaring flaw in design.
Update: Ring has responded to complaints regarding the software issues and the product is working significantly better. No wifi connectivity issues and a few other glitches have been fixed. Only complaint is that customer service talked to me like I was clueless when they in fact had no idea about their own problems - once escalated a person with some sense help direct the issues to engineering for reprogramming.

Released too early. Not worth the purchase unless you are willing to live with all the issues and frustrations of a new product!
Nice concept but the product is not ready yet. Too many kinks still to be resolved. One requirement that they do not list on their webpage is that your wi-fi password should not have any special characters. You are forced to create a guest network with a very simple password just to get this device connected. All of a sudden the device disappears from your account without any reason. You will have to reset it to get it back online. No two of them act the same. One device gets updated while the other is still on an old firmware version even though they are both connected to the same wi-fi network and have good signal strength.
Video quality is good. They have good features with regards to controls and sensitivity options but overall too many issues and not stable at all. You pay a premium for this product and monthly subscription on top only to face all these issues. I would highly recommend to wait few months or more before spending so much money on this.
Update: I have gone back and forth with customer service about 15 times now. Every time I am given the same stupid answers to reset the device or change camera view or move it around a bit. I can walk right in front of this device in broad daylight and it will only trigger motion alerts 1 out of 10 times. DONT BUY! You will only end up being frustrated. I am downgrading my original rating to 1 star.

Customer service is second to none.

First off, let me preface this by saying that I really like Ring and most of their products. I have two doorbells and was one of the first to purchase the original. Over the years, I've had a few small problems with the doorbells but they were easily solvable. This product however, has some serious issues. My floodlight cam will not show video after some period of time. The device doesn't go offline, the video is just not able to be shown. The spinning wheel just keeps on spinning. I've spoken to their support multiple times and they are sadly, very unhelpful. I am a network engineer by day and have been so for nearly twenty years. I've exhausted all possible network-related issues and there are none. The Nest cam that is above this one works without issue. The device, however, is not able to display the camera feed consistently. The only solution is to power off the camera (through a circuit breaker) and then power it back on. That is not a long-term fix. I was told by support that my upload speed from the camera (which at low points is 5Mbps and 17Mbps at other times). Funny thing is, I have numerous statistics on my network that show that there are no other devices sending traffic upstream when trying to connect to the Ring Floodlight Cam. Bottom line, this device doesn't work nearly as well as the Doorbells and when you need someone in support that can think outside the box from just reset the device, extend your signal or increase your speed, you can't get to that person. I'm sorry Ring, I really was hoping this would be a home run as your doorbell was :(
Update 08/24/17: My faith in ring has been restored. I spoke to a nice woman in their Neighbor Satisfaction department and I am honestly shocked at how important Ring's customers are to them. You don't find that anymore with companies. I was contacted by a manager that was able to discuss the situation and within a few days of even contacting them, my device did a firmware update and has been stable and working well ever since. Based on this experience, I will continue to buy and recommend Ring products. Thanks Ring, I appreciate knowing that these reviews don't fall on deaf ears!
