5Love it
By Lilfurbal
I'm no professional by any means, and also never used any previous Panasonic cameras. This caught my attention as it seems to be the smallest and cheapest thing to do amazing 4k 60 video. The fact that it also doubles as an excellent still photo camera really helped justify the price as I can effectively sell my Canon camcorder and old DSLR. Been playing with the GH5 for about two weeks now and it seems to do everything I'd like out of a camcorder and DSLR, in fact it easily outperforms them both. No longer do I have to decide if I want to record video, or take still photos, can do either or both with amazing results.

This camera has a lot of features, and has well more auto focus features than I am use to. I like the flexibility of the auto focus settings, seems very precise when you want it to be.

Pairing this with the new Leica 12-60mm lens I seem to have spoiled myself. Panasonic has made a great camera here.

5The stills are great as well
By McDaniel Photo
Have only spent a few days getting to know this camera. The video I'm getting, even with my limited knowledge is stunning. The stills are great as well. The only thing I don't like is when shooting still at fastest fps setting, the viewfinder seems to not be able to keep up and the refresh looks kind of like slow motion. But it still gets the shots and for all I know it's a setting I haven't learned yet.

5Upgraded both my cameras to this
By Johnny Wu
Previously owner of two Gh4 so I knew right away what to expect. Brought two GH5 and very happy with the purchase. You can get decent AF if you know how to set it correctly. But AF shouldn't be one of the main promoted thing from Panasonic since it's still lacking. There are other reasons why this is the camera to get besides 4K.
