Description

(formally SR-Audio)....Audio 456 PRC-2 Worlds Best Pinch Roller Cleaner conditioning Rejuvenator for any brand tape deck and more .The PRC-2 cleans Glaze and tape oxide, grease, grim, oil ,waxes ect. that builds up on your rubber pinch rollers causing premature head and tape wear. Also causing the tape to slip. Small price to pay and little time involved to keep your deck or what ever you'll be using it on a smart investment. It leaves the rubber pinch rollers with a nice velvety satiny feel at touch which is best. Recommended use every few hours. It will condition and clean the rubber in most cases like new or better for smooth tape operation. +(Professional Recording Engineers Review) +Product Review++++ I'm a freelancer Engineer and as production budgets have fallen through the floor, I set up a small mix room for my more financially challenged clients. The rig is an amalgam of analog and digital gear of all ages, and I like to mix many of my projects to analog tape. Not some bogus plugin but a 160 pound steel machine (MCI JH-110b) that actually records analog audio onto magnetic tape. Maintaining these machines these days means having access to an experienced tech and also using the best cleaners for day-to-day operation. Most of my favorite old brands are now history and I've lately been reduced to using isopropyl alcohol, which I know is not good for much of anything on the tape machine. My pinch roller has been developing quite a glaze also and I know enough not to apply alcohol to that part. So I ordered both the Audio 456 tape head cleaner and pinch roller cleaner from another online site. And they work great! The head cleaner particularly helped me remove some oxide buildup on the guides that I didn't realize was even there. The pinch roller cleaner removed the buildup of oxide on the surface and changed the glaze into a satiny surface perfect for handling master tape. I really like this stuff!
