4Good value, well made
By David Moffitt
Works great, having the red "surge protection" light on by default is a bad interface choice though, at first I thought it was indicating a wiring fault or problem with the unit, but a quick googling indicates it's normal operation. Plastic cover over the switch, while smart/nice, is a little oversized and flimsy. I'd still buy it again in a heartbeat despite those small nit-picks.

5A great PDU/surge protector for my home network!
By Matt M.
This is a perfect power distribution unit for my home network rack! I currently have a switch, a DSL modem, and a POE unit for my access point plugged in to this and there are 9 ports left over for expansion. Soon I'll have a server and possibly more POE units plugged in as well. I love the length of the cable on this which allowed me to run it up over head and back down the wall to the outlet in my network closet without having to add any extenders.

The unit itself feels very solidly built, and the hinged cover over the power switch will prevent me from accidentally turning this off.

5The best of its kind
By Neal
This rack power supply is by far the best of it kind if you don't need serious surge protection or power back up. You could always put on of those more serious units in front of this, but if not...this have the most outlets of any rack strip on the market. I also bought six short dual outlet extensions and have all my wall warts on the end of the short extensions, and all regular plugs go into the back of the dual extension as well as any of the front outlets. Well worth the money and I almost forgot that the master power switch has a flip up clear plastic cover so you can see if its on, but no one can accidentally touch the switch unless the cover is opened. It's simple, but a well though out addition to an already well made product. Highly recommend this product for anyone who needs lots of outlets and for the dual extensions, please see the rest of my reviews.
