Xbox Wireless Controller - White
Purchased for my son - he is thrilled! Works great, well made - easy to set up and start using immediately, a huge plus! Nice packaging so no damage even to box. So far so good - I think it is a very nice controller, works as says, impressed with wireless - no more tripping on cord. A great buy!

5If you are wondering if there is a difference between XBOX 360 and XBOX One controller... STOP THINKING. JUST BUY IT!

Bought the Official White Xbox Wireless Controller and Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. Controller comes with 2 batteries for the controller and some paperwork which I didn't bother to look at. All i did was

1. Install the batteries in the controller
2. Plugged the adapter in my Windows 10 PC
3. Held down the sync buttons on both devices
4. Wait less than a few seconds for the controller and the adapter to pair and voila, I'm gaming in less than 5 minutes after opening the boxes.

It was so easy I thought "Wait, i must have missed something because this was too easy... I hate to break it to the rest of guys who likes to over complicate stuff but things are just this easy these days.

First thing I did was play Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition (Steam) and it worked flawlessly. I plugged my headphones in the controller and my computer automatically switched the sound output to my headphones. Device Manager won't show there is an audio device for the headphone jack on the controller until you plug in headphones.

Note: I was already using wired XBox 360 controllers for gaming and had the Xbox Accessories software installed on my PC so that's probably why I didn't see any driver install prompts. Or maybe it was just blazing fast...

All I can say is... Ever since i used the Xbox One controller, I can never go back to the Xbox 360 controller for PC gaming.

4Great New Controller
By Chris Colby
I really like this controller. I had the day 1 version and I really liked it as well, but it annoyed me that I had to buy a stereo adapter for most headsets to work. I thought we had moved past proprietary connections with cell phones, and now we have. That jack is still there, but now you have the option to connect directly via the 3.5 mm jack that has been added.

Additionally the entire feel of the controller has been redesigned. The D-pad has been improved, and the bumpers have a much smoother feel when depressed. A texture has been added to the casing so that it won't slip out of your hand as easily. Overall it seems like while tweaking the design to make it sleeker, they also improved some known issues.

The connectivity to the Xbox and other devices has been greatly improved with this model, but not without room for further improvement. The wireless range with the Xbox has been doubled for more comfortable play across a large room, and you no longer need to plug into the Xbox via usb to update the controller. Additionally and probably most importantly Bluetooth connectivity has been added to this device, meaning that you now can connect wirelessly to a variety of Bluetooth enabled devices. My laptop does not have Bluetooth I was surprised to learn (thanks HP), but I was able to connect to my Android phone, and amazingly my Amazon Fire stick! My only concern with this function that could be corrected with an update is that it was not a seamless operation switching between paired devices, I needed to completely unpair from the Fire Stick, run downstairs and after several attempts to repair with the Xbox finally reset both and got it.

Overall, this is a very good controller that I believe is worth the investment, even if you have a fully functional controller. The ability to use the same controller on all of your (Bluetooth) devices is a big deal.
