Works great on Fire HD8 with the Amazon case on
Wow! Love, love, LOVE this! An accessory I didn't know I needed, and wish I had purchased months ago. I am using it on a 2016 Fire HD8 - WITH the amazon case on it. With the case on, it touches but does not cover or interfere with the buttons on the top. Without the case, it does cover the buttons, I tried it with the loops over top left and bottom right, and it did not interfere much with the volume, but it did half cover it.
I debated for weeks whether to get this or not. Finally, with upcoming hospitalization, I decided it might be a good idea to prevent dropping and make the tablet easier to hold/use. Still wasn't convinced it would be that useful. The Fire HD8 has very narrow bezels on the sides, and is 16:9 aspect which means it is tall and narrow, and a bit heavy at 12 oz. making it awkward at times to hold with one hand. The way this is designed, with a handle on top of the elasticized strap, it fits on your hand securely without slippage.
On my tablet (with case) the strap is stretched almost to maximum, which means it is not loose at all and there is very little "give" left in the elastic, making it very secure. The handstrap fits my hand perfectly (I do have larger hands). I can hold the tablet with just the strap and not even have to balance it with my fingers. The hand strap does swivel for any position, so it is easy to adjust for most comfort.
I looked at many handstraps before deciding on this one. The primary selling point over others is the soft ends, rather than plastic coated metal or plastic that could break. The Fire HD8 screen has a reputation for cracking easily, so anything hard on it concerned me.
I am very pleased with this strap and will enjoy using it and the security it gives. The workmanship is very good (Fintie is a good brand, whatever the product).

The rivet popped out after a week and a half of use and my tablet dropped to the concrete floor. Luckily my tablet is ok, but the hand strap is junk.

(Was the) Best accessory ever!
By Rod Ressler
I just got an 8" tablet. It is great, except that it has almost no border and is very difficult to hold without inadvertently pressing parts of the screen. This strap is exactly what I needed! It fits well and securely, is easy to attach and remove, and the fact that it swivels makes it easy to switch from portrait to landscape mode.
Update: Two months later and the rivet popped out. I could not reattach the hand part of the strap. This is still usable because there is enough play in the piece that attaches to the tablet that I can still grip it, but this is not the 5-star product I thought it was.
