5Saved Me a Bundle
By Charles P
I doubt if anyone else is using this adapter the way I am. I have a 17-inch MacBookPro (mid-2010) with a cracked screen (I won’t tell you how I did it), but it’s still good otherwise. What to do? Apple quoted a price about $500, maybe as high as $1,000, depending on what they find. No way was a I going to pay that and still end with an old computer.

I was getting ready to buy a new computer anyway, so I dropped down to a 13-inch MacBook Pro (late 2016) withe intention to buy an external monitor. I bought a 32-inch LG monitor from Amazon for $199.99 (that’s cheaper than a new screen and whatever).

However, and this is the kicker, all I needed to do was connect this $9.99 adapter between the monitor and my old Mac and, Voila, I was in business with a huge screen. I watch Prime movies on it. The monitor and adapter saved me a bundle.

The adapter itself is clearly high quality. I especially appreciate the braided cable, much sturdier than the rubberized cables on some adapters, particularly the cable covering on Mac power supplies, which tend to peel open to expose the wiring. That;’s why I own several old Apple power supplies patched with tape.

I have only one complaint. iVanky sounds too much like Ivanka (as in Trump).

5Works seamlessly!
By Professor D
I ordered this cable so that I could put the extra monitor (which I bought for my mom to use during her visit) to good use, rather than it just sitting in the closet, collecting dust, unused. After connecting it through my iMac, this cable has worked beautifully giving me a nice, clear, uninterrupted, excellent quality picture on the second monitor. Even though the resolution of the second monitor is lower than my iMac screen, it has not been an issue at all. It's nice to have when I'm designing my art projects before airbrushing them and need to look up information/videos on techniques to use with the graphics programs I have. I can set my browser to the second screen and continue to have my graphics design app on my main screen without interruption. It's also a bonus when I need to look something up while gaming. No more Command (Alt) + Tab to minimize my main programs just to look something up. Now, if I only had a third monitor, I'd order another one of these and have surround graphics.

I would certainly recommend this adapter to anyone looking to use a second/third monitor.

5It's super
By Terry
This works great for my Mac Boo Pro. We set up a 9' x 16' movie screen on the back of our garage and needed a portable way to watch movies with a projector. I have both a Macbook and a Macbook Pro. This cable works great on both.. The cable is only a little over a half foot long and I connect my macbooks to the projector with this adapter and a standard HDMI cable. I have not noticed any kind of picture lag, and as far as I can tell the picture is as clear as a projector can get. I have also used it to connect my macbook pro to my Harmon Kardon stereo to watch my macbook on the TV. I haven't had it for very long but so far I can say that it is a quality adapter at a very good price. I can't wait to go watch more movies and I love being able using my my macbook to its full potential.
