I've been a "PC power user" most of my life, so I researched laptops for weeks before finally deciding on this one.
I've been a "PC power user" most of my life, so I researched laptops for weeks before finally deciding on this one for the combination of features and sturdy hardware.
It feels great! As a programmer, this was my worst fear (having a crap keyboard). The backlight is great for dark rooms and the keys feel sturdy and have a great "clickiness" to them.
I was worried I wouldn't need this or that it would be gimicky, but it comes in handy when showing projects to a group. It's quite accurate and feels nice and responsive.
"2 in 1":
I love this because I wanted something I could use as a mobile entertainment device at times. You can fold it and sit it on a desk or your dashboard to watch movies. You can use it as a tablet in bed too. It's a bit heavy, but you'll easily find the best position to hold it (ie: resting it on your body or something). You won't be holding this one above your face in bed...
It seems extremely sharp with great color. The only downside (and it's pretty substantial) is that due to the nature of the touchscreen technology this thing is reflective. It's practically a mirror. I tried doing some work in a heavily windowed Starbucks in the evening and found that I couldn't even see the screen! All the shadowed seats were taken... If you do a lot of work outside, I might suggest you look at a different model.
Perfect for programming. The SSD is so fast that turning it on feels like waking it up from sleep and waking it up from sleep feels like nothing. I haven't tested the GPU except with some "casual" games - as expected, they ran great.

Ultrabook power up
This laptop tablet combo ultrabook thingy kicks so much ass. I upgraded from a ol 2004 WinXP gateway laptop, so I made a big jump forward. Held out since work pc was adequate for needs. Id say im quite computer tech savvy. Ive been shopping and holding out a very long time for this upgrade. With that said, This think pad is really nice, and Its wicked fast.... Completely meets all my expectations and then some.
Im surprised to check back and see so few reviews on this. It's really a great combo of recent pc tech.
I didn't find hardly any bloatware to uninstall. Had 2 big Win10 updates so far. It arrived in a slightly damaged box, with a nice puncture but internal computer box was okay. All is well there.
I honestly love this thing.
This thing still kicks ass even tho the keyboard had to be replaced. Was repaired/swapped under warranty, I got my yoga 14 back from Lenovo shop in 3-4 days. I was impressed. Everything works as it should.
With consistent Win10 updates, I've had to keep the bloody drivers up-to-date as well. Lenovo software makes this a super easy process. I found that after each of the 3-4ish big window 10 updates, the audio got funky and mouse trackpad stopped working correctly (both now working better than before), and some wifi stumbles but these were all due to Win10 shenanigans. I updated the drivers and this helped with a mouse and audio. I try to stay current with tech but Overall Im very happy. Paid 900ish for it in Feb 2016 and the quality hasn't disappointed.

Nice but can be better
By S. Wu
It's a tablet and a laptop. It comes with a pen so you can write and draw directly on the screen. But I have problem to make the pressure sensitive function work on the pen for Photoshop or Illustrator. The tablet is powerful enough and good size, but a little bit on the heavy side. It is not an ultra book. My baby took out the red dot on the keyboard in the first 5 minutes, so I have to keep it out. That's a little annoying. Otherwise, pretty solid and functional tablet. It does not get too hot like my old Samsung Ultrabook.
