Perfect for use with Photoshop/Lightroom in the field.
Perfect for use with Photoshop/Lightroom in the field. Screen is excellent, color rendition seems fairly good -- not going to compete with my HP XR2740w screen I use at home. You can set it so the Nvidia 940 lights up on a per application basis, so when you don't need it you use less juice. Keyboard is excellent, touchscreen is just right for sensitivity, and the stylus works great while editing. Note that you can add more memory to this one as it has two memory slots and only one is in use. The 6th generation i5 is at least as fast as the older i7 processors, so with the Nvidia I see no need for the i7.
Battery life seems a little short depending on what you are doing, not a con for me as I don't do extensive photo editing when I am not plugged in. I think you would get around 4-5 hours under heavy load.
- It is 4.12 lbs (I weighed it) so it's a little on the heavy side. Really too heavy for use as a tablet.
- Still fiddling with the touchpad sensitivity and gestures. Seems a little too reactive, very hard to use in your lap.
