New version works with Gopro Hero 5
Initially I thought it wouldn't work with the new Gopro hero 5 black because of some of the reviews. But, then I read that this product was later updated to support 4K recording. I decided to make a video recording test because I also read something about the video suddenly stopping while recording. I recorded about an hour and a half (the length of the battery duration) and I did not have an issue I was able to play it back successfully as well. I recorded in both 4k and 2.7 k.

Recording 4k 30FPS, 1080p 120FPS, no problem
Purchased to use in a Yi 4k action camera, and it works flawlessly. I can shoot 4k 30FPS footage, and 1080p 120FPS footage no problem, and easily transfer it to my computer. A warning though, while the memory card can hande 4k 30FPS and 120FPS 1080p no problem, some video players may not play back 120FPS footage smoothly, making it look choppy and broken. I originally used VLC and was worried the footage was corrupted, but switched to MP4 HC and the video played back smoothly
