5Dramatic Speed Increase for 2011 Macbook Pro
By Kindle User
My friend came to me upset that his 2011 Macbook Pro was getting unbearably slow, so I recommended that rather than buying a new $2000 Macbook and having to deal with the hassle of reloading all his software and transfering documents, that he simply spend a tenth of the price to speed up the one he currently has with this SSD. I helped him do a clone of his old hard drive to this SSD and after that was done we loaded this in and turned on his computer, and everything was still there but his loading time was at least 5 times faster than previously, and his applications loaded almost instantaneously. He is very happy with the performance increase.

One problem you may run into is that you may have to re-input the product key for your Microsoft Office software if you have that installed, as it is tied to your hardware and any hardware changes like this one will deactivate your current registration.

4Very impressive
By QJJ Productions
I will say, upon first receiving the device, it felt like the casing of the SSD was made with a cheap-ish plastic. It felt light and fragile, but that's to be expected, as it is not built with the same heavy metal components as an HDD. Once I plugged it into my PC, however, I could definitely notice the difference. I tested Windows 7 Home Premium on it, and it booted tremendously faster than I've ever seen it boon on a standard hard drive. It only sat on the boot splash screen for roughly 3-5 seconds or so (normally it would take a few minutes to boot as well as warm-up once it was on). I don't notice any warm up time with this hard drive. Then I tested Windows 10, which boots even faster because of its "fast startup" technique. Overall, I'd say that this is a very good product and I am far from disappointed. Just make sure you know how to use a secondary HDD for storage and not the SDD itself. 120 gigs gets eaten up real fast with this thing.

5Brought new life to my old laptop!
I bought this to replace a hard drive that crashed in my laptop. I'm not sure about the actual read and write speed performance but I know I went from waiting to what seemed like minutes for it to boot up to it booting almost instantly. I was simply amazed at the difference. After the performance boost that I got from this I am going to buy another to put in my old desktop.
