What Are PopSockets? PopSockets are expanding grips and stands that attach to most phones, tablets, and cases. Add a single PopSocket, or a pair of PopSockets, to the back of almost any mobile device to transform its capabilities. PopSockets "pop" whenever you need a grip, a stand, an earbud-management system, or just something to play with. Remove your PopSocket by pulling slowly on the base; you can reposition and reattach time and time again. You'll always have the exact grip or stand you need. PopSockets not only make terrific phone grips and phone stands, they also make holding tablets and e-readers more comfortable and secure. Whether you place PopSockets on your Nintendo 3DS for gaming, your GoPro for a supplemental grip in the water, or on your bedroom mirror to hang jewelry, the possibilities are endless. If you attach two PopSockets to your device you now have a convenient earbud-management system. Simply wrap the cord around the two PopSockets, and voila! No more tangly mess to deal with. Never Lose Grip on Your Phone or Tablet Again! Click "Add to Cart" now to get your PopSocket expanding grip and stand.

This review addresses some concerns I had about the product that I couldn't find in other reviews. (For those who are interested, please see my updated review underneath my original review after months of using this popsocket.)
Does it do what it claims? Yes, pretty much. But it seems like the popsocket just doesn't have as good of a quality as it looks like in the pictures. It has more of a covered cardboard-y type feel than plastic.
You have to pull it to use the "popped" form of the popsocket. While that may come off as obvious to some, it was my impression that you could just "pop" it open. So pulling it out to use it makes it less convenient. To use it as a phone stand, it only works with the horizontal view (not the vertical) which I found a little disappointing.*
Aesthetics on Device:
Unlike other reviewers, in my opinion the popsocket is more bulky looking than advertised, even when it isn't in "popped" form. I have a sleek phone case and the attached popsocket sticks out from my case enough that it looks a bit awkward.
I love the cover design accuracy! I ordered the chakra design and it looks just like the pictures; it is very pretty.
Moving the Popsocket:
For those who have concerns about moving the popsocket -- yes, if you placed it on your device in a way that you feel like you have to adjust it, you absolutely can move it and it will not lose its adhesive quality. I have moved mine and taken it off already about 5 times and it still is stuck to my phone case like superglue.
Overall, it's a neat little product. I was disappointed with how it feels on my phone and the basic range of functionality, but it still does what it is supposed to do. I hope my review provides enough insight to help those who were on the fence of buying one!
* Note: I have been using one popsocket with an iPhone 6. Different devices with more popsockets may work differently! *
UPDATE (01/12/2017): I have been using my popsocket ever since I bought it months ago. I haven't taken it off my phone. All of my friends ask me about it, even strangers (I'm not kidding you), and I really do enjoy telling them what it is. After seeing what my popsocket does, they all end up buying one for themselves. The functionality has served me well, and I do not think I could enjoy using my phone without it anymore. It has helped me text on my phone with more ease, helps me keeps a steady hand for taking pictures, and I can't remember the last time I dropped my phone. I owe my gratitude for all of that to this popsocket. I have re-read my review and I still back all of it it up 100%, even after using it for months. Yes, it still feels a little more cardboard-y than plastic. Yes, it still stinks that it can't be used as a vertical stand. Yes, it does still look a teeny bit awkward on my phone when not in use. But I love it anyway. The only thing I want to add is that I truly think it's worth it to buy it - for all those who are still on the fence about it. It's really not that expensive for something that can save your phone from falling and breaking. Try it out.
I'm also changing my review from 3 stars to 4 stars because of its overall effectiveness.

Perfect for Scrolling, Texting, or Video Applications
I bought this for my granddaughter to steady her phone while she used different phone apps. The first one that I got was obviously used (not Amazon's fault), but the second one works perfectly. She loves the design and it sticks to her phone and hasn't unexpectedly come off. There aren't any directions when you get it, but it's easy to install. I would recommend holding the phone and seeing where your hand is comfortable holding your phone before attaching it. Also, there is a round clear plastic disc on the sticky part, so make sure you remove that before attaching.
