5... tab 3 plus yesterday and there's a lot of great things about it
By Jo
I received the yoga tab 3 plus yesterday and there's a lot of great things about it: the speakers are loud and clear , the kickstand works as advertised and is very useful , takes an SD card and everything works except the video and sound are out of sync . For my uses I'm gonna keep the tablet however if you're buying it to watch videos I do not recommended it at this time . I will give the tablet five stars if they fix the video issue.

What I find most disturbing though is that there is no official response to multiple comments and questions about the video and sound being out of sync on the support forms.

An update fixed the sync issue. I highly recommend the tablet now.

3I love this tablet but there is an issue that may ...

I love this tablet but there is an issue that may be a deal-breaker for some. Please see below.

This is a great tablet and most likely I will keep it - although I had to order a replacement. The new replacement also has the exact same problem which may be a deal-breaker for some. While the speakers are great there is some static or fuzz sound that is in the background at a constant whenever any type of media is playing whether it is youtube, netflix, or even my own movie files. It is not loud and it does not get higher when I turn up the volume but it is there and is slightly more audible when there is dialogue. I was hoping maybe I got a dud but after the second replacement I think it is just something that has to do with the speakers - even with the dolby atmos off it is still there. I know it isn't mentioned in the reviews and I'm thinking maybe people don't hear it - I only started to hear it when I was watching something at night with the volume low. And while I haven't seen it in the reviews on Amazon I have found this was an issue for others who had the same tablet when I was looking through the Lenovo forums. Zero response from Lenovo support on the forums also.

With all that being said - everything else with this tablet has been great so far. The screen is great, the touchscreen is responsive and I haven't found any sluggishness in the overall usage. I love the battery life and the built-in stand so much that I may just keep this tablet regardless of this speaker issue. Also - the sound issue I mentioned is non-existent with earbuds or using Bluetooth speakers. There really isn't any other tablet that has a built-in stand, 15 hr battery life, and also easy to hold for reading - Lenovo hit a home-run with the design in regards to those aspects.

I don't want to go through with sending it back and getting another replacement again. And I especially don't want to go through Lenovo because they are terrible when it comes to returns and replacements. For those that are interested in this, buy on Amazon! I previously bought a Yoga Tab 3 8 inch on Lenovo website and because it was so slow and sluggish I had it returned. They charged me 15% restocking fee plus a shipping fee (which was another 15 bucks) - and the refund will still take another 10 days to process after it arrives to Lenovo. That is just shady - they basically made money back from the refund.

2Love the design BUT
By debugy2k
Hardware is top notch! Love the design, kickstand, projector, 4GB ram....BUT...
MAJOR CON which is why I'm returning it: It only supports Fat32 on the SD card!! DOES NOT read exfat or ntfs. So you're limited to max 4GB on each file. This is 2017 and this is a media tablet with a great screen, speakers and projector! All high def video files will be larger than 4GB!! Serious Lenovo!!! Get with the program...even a 5 year old android phone can read exfat.
