Good Things Come in Small (Plain) Packages!
By Copper Cavalier
When I received this flashlight, I was disappointed. It arrived in a plain cardboard box and it was so tiny! Not an exciting gift. I set it aside as a stocking stuffer, and went out to purchase two other flashlights which looked far more impressive and came in a fancy package.
On Christmas morning, both my sons liked the fancy flashlights, but they were instantly abandoned for the small JF Tactical Flashlight in its plain little box. Although very small, the J5 flashlight is stronger. The boys like the ability to focus and adjust the intensity of light. And the J5 flashlight only takes one battery! (the fancy flashlight takes three batteries)
So here I am to buy another J5 Flashlight so that each son can have his own!

I carry the light for work as a police officer. This light is small and clips inside my side pocket of uniform pants. I have had the light for about a week and I have had no issues with the light accidentally turning on in my pocket. The light is very bright. I like that it takes just 1 AA battery because I always have them in stock for the kids toys.

Compact, powerful, and easy to use. What's not to love?
By D. Diesness
I admit, when I first ran across this light on Amazon I was a bit skeptical. Some of the reviews aren't so great, and the price is awfully low for the level of quality they are advertising. Regardless, for the price, I decided to pull the trigger and give it a try. Boy am I glad that I did. This little light is is wonderful! It easily fits in the palm of my hand and only weights about a pound, so it's very easy to use one handed. Also, the light is very bright, especially considering that it only runs on 1AA battery. How long the battery actually lasts is still up in the air, but I don't see that as a deal breaker seeing as I can easily slap a rechargeable AA in there and not have to worry about buying new batteries all the time regardless of how quickly it drains. I know that it lasts at least a few hours with moderate use because I've been playing with it since I got it. I have attached three photos to this review to show the power of the light. The first two are of it shining against a wall in my kitchen from about 4 feet away in FULL DAYLIGHT. They were not taken in a darkened room, but at about 2 in the afternoon next to a window...and it's still that bright! The third photo was taken in my furnace closet to show the power in a darkened area. Again, the light was about 4 feet away and about a foot or two above the camera facing down at the furnace.
All in all, I would defiantly recommend this light. Especially for the price.
