Standing = Healthy
Five or more hours of sedentary sitting, is the health equivalent of smoking a pack and a quarter of cigarettes!
Studies have shown that our bodies can benefit from simply standing up, contracting muscles, and moving. Think of standing as pushing a reset button on your body. If you press the reset button before the timer hits 20 minutes, you'll avoid any of the negative side effects of a sedentary job.

I have been using my standing desk for about a month and enjoy it with a nice squishy mat. The desk is perfect for my two monitors. However a few issues to consider- there is no place for my laptop to plug in, so I have that to the right on the rest of my traditional desk. The keyboard area is good sized, but my old keyboard was too large to fit on it with a mouse. I have been using a smaller keyboard for daily activities. The mouse is uncomfortable if it is place on the upper level, but works well on the keyboard level. When I lower the desk, it's a little uncomfortable to sit as it's raised up a few inches. I recommend others using a stool when you feel like sitting. I like the upper surface, which is large enough for my two monitors and a notebook/stickies. Overall, this is a great standing desk and I think more people should use it.

A nice desktop unit
By James Hawk
First let me say I'd like to give it a 4.5 star if I can. 4 star does not do justice to this product.
Got this one for more than a week now. A very good product. Like others I was eyeing the Varidesk for a while but came over to this one because of the price. I got this one for home use and would like to get one at work at work, too. Shipping was fast in my case--3 days it's at my door. And I'd echo all others said--it is nice and sturdy. Lowering it is easy but raising needs a little effort. First a few time, my stomach's always in the way. Once I got used to it, it's no problem. I have two old 23" monitors (16:10) and they fit well. At the lowest position, the monitors are higher than they used to be when sitting directly on the desktop. When I am sitting down, I am looking up a tiny bit at the screen.
The only thing that prevent me to give a 5 star is the keyboard-mouse platform. I wish it's 4" wider. While I am standing at the computer, I'd like to rest most of my forearm on that same platform but there is not enough room if a full size keyboard sits where it's designed to. So most of the time, my keyboard and mouse go like in my picture. It's a bit awkward but ok.
Overall, it is a very good buy to me. I'd definitely recommend it. If I could, I'd get one that's 4" longer (and maybe a darker color).

good but heavy/awkward to adjust
By Rhonda Young
This is the perfect size for housing my dual monitors and keyboard! It looks just like the picture shows and allows me to stand or sit while working from home. The only thing I don't like is that a big part of why I stand is that I have lower back issues. This moves up and down smoothly, but the levers are about mid-way back and it's very awkward and somewhat heavy to move it up and down... so if my lower back is already sore it just exacerbates it. I knew it wasn't electronic, but was not expecting it to be quite so heavy when moving it up and down. That said, it is very sturdy and well built.
