3ok headset, better as a cosplay item
By Joshua Y. Yuan
i'm not going to review the app you're supposed to use with it because i think it's silly. though it comes with that adapter and stuff, really the headphones themselves are a headset-with-mic 3.5mm connector so you can use it like a normal headset elsewhere.
The thing looks pretty good as far as being a prop from splatoon, maybe cheap and plasticky like a toy but what did you expect? sound quality if actually not awful if you can get the thing to actually stay directly on your ears, my big head doesn't actually fit so it sounds tinny unless i gently push it to my ears. the head thing is not adjustable so if it bends funny to your possibly oversized head like mine, you're out of luck.
the microphone sounds passable; usable, but i wouldn't record or track any music with it or anything.

i think this would be good for kids or ppl with not-huge heads, but really i think it's mostly good as a cosplay prop, having both green and pink color plates is neat.

I purchased these primarily to use as headphones (mostly for the style). The awkward Switch chat option is the least of this headset's worries.

I had very little expectations for the sound quality, however if you're looking for something with any semblance of sounding good, these aren't far off from a cheap par over-ear headphones from the early 2000s. They work, but they don't sound good. Again, this didn't bother me personally.

The headphones (mainly the plastic band around the back) feels like it is made from very cheap and fragile plastic. Again, I had little expectations here.

My main issue with this headset, and the reason for the two star rating, is that they are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable to wear for more than a minute at a time. I see a lot of complaints saying that they are too small. And while they are quite small, they fit my tiny head just fine. My personal gripes are how they lay on my ears, and the gap between the ear piece and the plastic that loops over the top. Each ear piece rests on my head and a weird angle, causing the tops to dig into the side of my head and preventing them from actually sitting snugly over my ears. Now the loop that goes around the top of the headphones have way to small of a gap. the tops of my hears don't fit through, and it is painful if I try. My other alternative is just to rest them over my ears, but then they just slide off.

I don't know who these were designed for. My only guess is that they were meant to fit on actual squid kids, which I am not.

PS: the loop won't even fit over my niece's ears and she's 10 and small for her age.

3Mehhh
By JesusPeralta
my problem with it is that its way too small
its an odd feeling to wear

but after some time you get used to it and it becomes a decent set of head phones

i just wish there was a way you can adjust the size of it.
