I was hesitant to purchase this case. I assumed it must be inferior as the others were so much more expensive. When it came in, I put tissue inside the case, locked it, and put it in a full bathtub overnight under wet towels to see how well it held up. Bone dry.
So I took it to the Caribbean with my Sony RX100ii and a tub of silicone grease. I carefully lubed the o-ring and replaced it, making sure no fuzz or hairs were near the gasket. I threw one of the included silica packs in the case with the camera for any humidity. After it was sealed, I was able to go to the beach and snorkel and swim and continue to take amazing photos and video. After a week of heavy usage, I had no leaks and great photos-much better than if I'd bought a GoPro. My Sony gets no respect, but in this case people stared at it and thought I was a "real photographer", which gave me a good laugh. I'm so glad I bought this!
