We'll ship you a replacement device (same or newer model depending on availability). You'll also receive a pre-paid shipping label to send your damaged device back to us (must have a valid credit card on file in order to receive a replacement).




Return your damaged device within 30 days from reception (otherwise you will be charged the price of the replacement).

My Fire TV Remote stop working so I went to their website to file a claim hoping to get a replacement. I go to file a claim and it says the website is under construction/maintenance and they'll be back soon...That message has been there for the past few months. If I call i'm on hold for so long that i hang up.

So i finally just contacted Amazon customer support and within 5 minutes they set me up with a replacement remote that should come next week when the remote is back in stock.

What's the point of this damn protection plan if i can't contact them?!

And i have these protection plans for multiple products i've bought online, this was the first time i had to use it, and now i'm dreading if i have to use it for anything else.

1So no they are not good at all

Just tried to file a claim after I calmed down a bit thought I would write about my experience I had. The first call took 30 mins. or so after telling 3 american people my name, address, phone no. and e-mail I was connected to a person I could not understand. Well I gave her my name, address, phone no, and e-mail address then told her my remote for my Fire TV was not working. I knew this because I changed the batteries to new ones, turn the box on and off, unplugged it, removed and added the hdmi cable and still would not work, I do get the home page but nothing else. She did not want to hear anything I said and wanted to trouble shoot it. I said I already did the same thing she was telling me to do and still did not want to work, well our call was disconneted when I got up to go to the TV to do what she wanted me to do. I told her to hold on because I am handicapped and only have use of one hand. Called again talked to 3 people, again with the name, address phone no., e-mail, I could understand and then, put on hold. So anyway ended up ordering a new remote instead of going through this again. So no they are not good at all. I have used Wal-mart warranty before and they just send out new product, don't have to go though all this.To bad Walmart don't have Kindle Fire products.

4Protection Plan for your Devices - Always a good Idea, since life happens...

Basic protection plan. I would like to have been informed that the plan details was coming in an email, since it was almost deleted. I mistakenly assumed that documentation was forthcoming by regular mail, and grew concerned that a couple of weeks after receiving my Fire TV, the protection plan purchased at the same time did not arrive. Then I stumbled upon it in my email. Mode of delivery not an issue, at all. I just like to know what to look for since I've never purchased a protection plan online before.
